The Institute of Social Sciences' Presidency bases its mission on the values of innovation, plurality and solidarity.

Regarding teaching matters, it is our belief that ICS should continue to contribute to the development and full potential expression of all students. It is our goal to create inspiring conditions for their formation as active, reflective and committed citizens to social innovation and transformation.

At the core of the Presidency's strategic direction is the promotion and development of high-level and inter- and transdisciplinary oriented research.

The Presidency also aims to enhance Institute of Social Sciences vast and solid experience towards university extension and social and cultural intervention. One of our cornerstones in this area is the development of knowledge transfer and innovation actions, based on interaction with communities and society at regional, national and global levels.
