The 4th
International Seminar "Qualidade de Vida - políticas, instrumentos e
práticas” [“Quality of Life - Policies, instruments and practices”] takes place
on October 13th and 14th, at the CPII’s B1 auditorium of the Gualtar campus,
Braga. The seminar is organised by the University of Minho’s Communication and
Society Research Centre (CECS), part of the Institute of Social Sciences, and
by the spin-off QualityAlive.
Private
social solidarity institutions are the topic of this event, seen as important
social caregivers that provide several solutions to specific publics and as a
replacement or a complement to family support to a person who has an autonomy
deficit. Private social solidarity institutions are responsible for providing
this public service and play a relevant role in tertiary economy. The programme
features national and international reseachers, who will analyse and discuss
the clients’ and carers’ quality of life. The last day of the event also
includes workshops.
