Promoting internationalisation and fostering intercultural understanding are two of the Institute of Social Sciences’ main strategic objectives. Through these areas of focus, the aim is to strengthen mobility and cooperation among students, faculty, researchers and staff, fostering a more diverse, dynamic and global academic environment. In this way, the Institute affirms the Social Sciences as a field of knowledge full of opportunities for learning, research and personal and professional development.
- BIP GEO 27 Landscape transformations: financiado pelo programa Erasmus+. Pela Arqus apenas 4 candidaturas foram aprovadas, sendo uma do ICS.
- "Landscape transformations in the urban to rural interface and in peripheral rural spaces" - Arqus Twinning 2.0: projeto em conjunto com a Universidade de Wroclaw, na Polónia. Em 21 propostas submetidas, o ICS ficou entre os 11 selecionados.
With the aim of promoting the ICS as an attractive institution on the international level, the International Office supports academic and professional mobility (incoming and outgoing), thereby enhancing teaching, research and outreach activities in line with the University of Minho’s initiatives and programmes.
