At the Institute of Social Sciences, research activities are organized in Research Centres that bring together teams of researchers from all the fields of Social Sciences. Organized by research lines, our R&D units assemble the projects of the ICS and also international researchers, representing a coordinated effort of scientific production.

​The connection to the surrounding environment is one of the Institute's aims. This has resulted in numerous partnerships, namely with local authorities and state structures, but also with other organizations in the region, resulting in numerous research projects. All of these projects have practical application and promote the improvement of the living conditions for both the Academy and the Community.​ ​​
